For Friday we ask that you wear traditional Pakistani clothing including, lehengas, kurtas, saris, anarkali suits, a palazzo suits for women and sherwani and kurtas for men. (more detailed information on where to find these clothes and what they look like in the "What to wear" tab.) If you are unable to find these outfits please dress in springtime formal - for men, light color suits and button ups, for women bright colors, prints and long skirts. For Saturday, the dress code is Springtime formal. (mood board available in the "what to wear" tab)
Our wedding will be adults only unless specified on your invitation.
We definitely would not recommend renting a car. The streets are old cobblestone and narrow and parking is hard to find in the city. San Miguel is a very walkable city and things are fairly close. One thing to note is that the city can be quite hilly in some parts. Just bring comfortable shoes if you plan to explore the city by foot. For those who would rather not walk Ubers are very accessible and affordable.
The best way to get to San Miguel de Allende is to fly into Queretaro (QRO) and then take a 45 minute drive to San Miguel. You can either Uber or book private transportation through XYZ.
You are welcome to bring someone to Mexico with you. However, unless they are on the invitation we ask that you do not a bring a plus one to the wedding festivities.
During the day it should be in the low 80s, high 70s. At night it can cool down to high 40s. Over all it should be sunny and comfortable.... we hope lol
We don’t have a room block but we have a special code for Real de Minas and Casa Hoyos. Both of these are listed in the “travel” tab. In the travel tab there are some other recommended hotels to fit any size group and budget. We also recommend looking at airbnbs especially if you have a group. DO NOT BOOK NEAR RANCHO LAS PUERTAS (our wedding ceremony venue). There will be shuttles to the ceremony from the city. Book near the city center (la parroquia San Miguel), or near B’ani Terreza (our welcome party venue).
