We met Alex through his then girlfriend, now wife, Dani, and the four of us quickly became close friends. Ray and Alex formed an especially strong bond over their shared love of chicken wings, movies, and overly intricate board games. Exceptionally smart, thoughtful, and well spoken, Alex brings humor and intention to everything he does, making him the perfect person to officiate.
Dani McSurley

Ray first met Dani while they were both bartenders at The Crest Gastropub, and when Marian joined the team, Dani quickly became a close friend to both of us. Over the years, she and Marian have built a strong bond through a shared love of wine, literature, travel, and video games. Always a ray of sunshine, Dani has supported us in countless ways and proudly serves as the unofficial godmother to our dogs.
Vince Cullen

Vince and Ray first met in sixth grade at A.I. Root Middle School and quickly became friends over their shared love of disc golf, jam band music, and generally being hooligans. They stayed close through high school and even after moving to different cities, always making time to visit whenever they could. Vince remains a true friend in every sense of the word, and with countless memories together, he has had a lasting impact on the person Ray is today. We are so thankful to have him standing with us.
Jay Hobson

Jay is Marian’s brother and also one of her closest friends. Growing up together, they shared many of their favorite things, from theater and Bright Eyes to the arcade game Big Buck Hunter. One of the smartest and funniest people we know, Jay is always ready with a hot take on any situation. He is never afraid to tell it like it is and has been a constant source of guidance and support throughout Marian’s life.

We first met Charles at the same New Year’s Eve event where we ran into his girlfriend, Hannah. Ray and Charles quickly bonded over a shared love of snowboarding, cooking, and tackling their long lists of home improvement projects. From snowboarding the mountains in West Virginia to winning Ray’s birthday chicken wing cook-off and even surviving a 15-mile hike in Wayne National Forest, Charles has always been game for whatever adventure comes his way.

Marian first met Hannah while working together at World of Beer, but their friendship truly took off years later when we ran into her and her longtime boyfriend Charles on New Year’s Eve. Hannah and Marian quickly bonded over a shared love of travel, art, and seeking out new adventures. Effortlessly fabulous and endlessly inspiring, Hannah has a way of brightening every room she enters, and we are so thrilled to have her standing with us on our wedding day.
Dustin Obergfell

Ray and Marian met Dustin when he moved in next door to their old apartment in Clintonville, and it didn’t take long for Ray and Dustin to know they were destined to be best bros. Their shared love of football, beer, and smoked meats made the friendship effortless. Kind, honest, and always up for a good time, Dustin has been a constant source of laughter and support for both of us.
