Dosu’s Perspective: We met at my cousin's wedding. I saw Marian across the room and I was drawn to her, so I asked my cousin about her. I acknowledged exactly where she sat in the room and I made sure to go to that side of the hall as much as possible. At the end of the reception I approached her sister Wemi to get more info on Marian. After interrogating me a bit, Wemi agreed to connect us and she introduced me to her. We went out that night with the rest of the bridal party, but we only paid attention to each other. The next day we went back to our different cities. We talked for weeks before I asked her to fly out to DC. I told myself that if she was everything that I remembered then I would ask her to be my girlfriend that weekend. When she finally arrived she was more beautiful both inside and outside then I remembered. I knew at that moment we would be together forever. Marian’s Perspective: Dosu and I met at his cousin's wedding where he was the best man. I remember seeing him at the traditional wedding working so hard to help facilitate the event and I found that very attractive. Dosu may not remember this, but I actually dropped a water bottle on accident at the engagement and he helped me pick it up. I immediately started swooning when I turned around & realized it was him! Anyways fast forward to the next day, Dosu comes up to me at the wedding reception & we get to talking. We both decided to go out with the the bridal party to a lounge that evening, but eventually we snuck away to waffle house by ourselves. We never actually ate any food, we just sat there and talked to each other for hours. I went back to Dallas the next day and I didn’t think I’d hear from Dosu again to be honest, it seemed too good to be true. But to my surprise I received a message from him as soon as my flight landed and I turned airplane mode off. Fast forward six weeks, Dosu told me to check my email and there was a ticket to DC in my inbox. And the rest is history.
