Covid!!!!

Answer

We are nervous about the new wave of Covid in the US and are closely watching the governors proclamations for Texas. For now, we welcome all who are vaccinated to attend assuming you do not have any covid symptoms. We also encourage everyone to be tested the week of the event. The Hindu and Christian wedding ceremonies are both planned to be outdoors and the Saturday evening reception will be both indoor/outdoor.

IS THERE A SHUTTLE TO AND FROM THE HOTEL AND THE VENUE?

Answer

Yes, from the Hampton Inn there will be a free shuttle. However, not from the Hyatt Place hotel but its a quick uber ride away (about 8 minutes drive).

Can I bring my kid(s)?

Answer

Yes, please do! We will have a number of children in attendance and are planning on providing for care at our home for the youngsters in the evening while the reception is ongoing. Note that the venue is the clubhouse for our neighborhood so our house is less than a mile away.

What to wear?

Answer

The Christian wedding on Saturday will be an outdoor casual wedding (not black tie). Please no jeans or tuxedos. Indian or American attire is appropriate for all ceremonies, there will be plenty of people in attendance wearing both types. For our American guests, if you would like to wear Indian dress, ladies could consider wearing a saree or kurta suit whereas gentlemen can consider wearing a Punjabi kurta and pajama pant (note pajama is defined differently!). For our Indian guests, if you would like to wear American dress, the ladies can consider wearing an American dress or gown and the men can consider wearing a casual suit.
