Some of Our Favorite Restaurants
Eddies on Lake Norman - This is where we had our 2nd date and has been somewhere we visit on the regular. It is a bit out of the way but it is right on the lake and they have great food. Gianni's Trattoria - our go to spot for Italian food. Duckworths - There are a few locations but the one in uptown is my go to. They have a great beer selection, and really good food. Midwood Smokehouse - Can't pass through the south without trying some BBQ. Boardwalk Billy's - a casual spot with above average food, BBQ and a decent beer selection, located right next to a man-made lake. Picasso's Sports Pub - Typical low key sports bar, with really good wings, burgers and pizza. Get the pizza roll!
Hangout Spots
Camp North End - Industrial site packed with local food stalls, outdoor bar spaces, public murals, and small shops. Optimist Hall - A vibrant food hall just outside Uptown housed in a restored mill. It features dozens of local food vendors, craft cocktails, and coffee, making it perfect for groups where everyone wants something different. Charlotte Beer Garden - 200 beers on tap spread across 3 levels. Don't miss out on the roofbar!
Breweries
The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery - Charlotte’s oldest craft brewery with a massive, German-style beer garden. Very relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. NoDa Brewing Resident Culture Brewing Co. Wooden Robot Brewery
Outdoors
Carowinds - Our local amusement park, make sure your ride the Fury 325! White Water Center - Where we got engaged! 💍 ❤️ One of our favorite places, great for hiking, mountain biking, white water rafting, or just grab a beer and hangout to watch the rapids. Freedom Park - Beautiful park with wonderful scenery. Crowders - Great hike just 45 minutes west of the city.

Mint Museum - North Carolina's premier art museum featuring world-renowned craft and design, studio glass, contemporary art, fashion exhibits, and classic European and American collections across two unique campuses. Discovery Place Science Museum - A great interactive option right in Uptown for families traveling with children. NASCAR Hall of Fame
