I’m from Brazil, and Mattia is from Italy — two people from different sides of the world who somehow found each other in San Francisco in 2021, right after the pandemic. I first saw him at the restaurant where I used to work. A few days later, his face popped up on my “Friends You May Know” list on Facebook, and I thought, why not? He seemed fun — so I added him. We started chatting, and before long, he asked me to come work at the restaurant where he’s the chef. I never imagined we’d end up together, though I have to admit, there was an instant click. Somewhere between our jokes and conversations, I ended up inviting him out (okay… he kind of asked for it 😄). After our first kiss, I knew — he was the man I wanted to be with. Four years later, after building a beautiful life together and welcoming our two amazing children, we’ve decided it’s time to make it extra official. 💍
