For those of you who are coming to our celebration from outside Brazil, here are some recommended hotels in the area.
We recommend hotels in Petrópolis if:
— On the Sunday after the wedding, you prefer to do some independent tourism and to check out historic sites.
— You prefer to stay in a larger, more “developed” city where, for example, there are plenty of nice restaurants/cafés and where Uber is widely available.
— You prefer to stay at a hotel that has English-speaking staff.
— you are planning to fly out of or return to Rio on Sunday.
We recommend staying in Posse (small town close to
wedding venue) if:
— you prefer a shorter drive to the family sítio for the get-together for out-of-town-guests on the Sunday after the wedding.
— You do not mind staying in a smaller town that—while safe, pleasant, and walkable—does not have
major sites or infrastructure for tourists.
— You are OK with staying at a hotel that does not have English-speaking staff.
