Mari and Jack met January 7th, 2020 in Kirkland Washington and have spent the last 4 years adventuring, exploring, and falling in love. Mari was born in Brazil, moved to the US in 2014, and has always lived in beautiful Washington State. Jack spent his early years living near many of his extended family members in Connecticut and Arizona before settling in the Pacific Northwest in 1997. Despite their distant upbringings, Jack and Mari discovered that they had so much in common; snowboarding, the love of live music, dogs, playing guitar, and traveling the world. Mari and Jack's first date playing pool in their favorite Irish pub led to a quick second date exploring Kirkland during a large snowstorm with their golden retriever, Leo. In their first month of dating, they attended their first concert, Cold War Kids, and spent a weekend in Leavenworth snowboarding at Stevens Pass, their favorite mountain. By now, you must know that they are an adventurous couple. Together, they have attended over 50 concerts and explored six countries. Jack planned on asking Mari to marry him in Ireland, but during their week in Iceland prior, Jack couldn't resist proposing on top of Múlagljúfur Canyon overlooking waterfalls, a rainbow, icebergs and the most beautiful scenery the two had ever seen (Mari called that to Jack's attention about 5 minutes before the question). Their love has continued to grow through adventure, driving their careers forward, learning new hobbies, renovating their first home and spending time with their dog, friends and nearby family (so happy Dakota and Tom are back from AZ so we get to watch Ayden and Addy grow up!) So as they take this next step into marriage, let us celebrate the love that has brought them here today. May their journey continue to be filled with laughter, adventure, and an abundance of shared moments that will sustain them through all the years to come.
