Xcaret is a theme park located about 1 hour south of Cancun, containing lots of cool attractions related to Mayan and Mexican culture. Some of the attractions there includes a zoological garden, botanical garden, swimming pools, restaurants and cultural experiences. We went there during Emil's first trip to Mexcio and had a really good time!

Mercado 28 is a big, colorful, bright artisan market in downtown Cancun. Here you can buy souvenirs, handicrafts and clothing!
There is actually 2 cenotes here that are great for swimming! It is a little driving distance away from Cancun, but it has an open cenote and "cave" cenote.
