St Stephen’s will be open to guests from 11.30 am. Please arrive no later than 11.50 am in order to have enough time to be seated for the ceremony, which will begin promptly at 12 pm.
St Stephen’s is a former church, with the main entrance on the corner of Pond Street and Rosslyn Hill. Parking in the area is not free, and we recommend using a tube, train or taxi if possible. The nearest tube station is Belsize Park on the Northern line (Edgware branch), and it is a 5-minute walk from here up Rosslyn Hill (turning right outside the exit of the tube station) to reach St Stephen’s. Hampstead Heath station on the Overground line from Stratford is also a 5-minute walk away. Please see the map on the travel page for further information.
The dress code is formal and fabulous :) e.g. suits and cocktail dresses. Something for summer that can also be evening wear could be ideal. For guests coming in Nigerian attire, please feel free to wear something colourful with a fuchsia pink gele/headtie. For guests wearing heels for the ceremony, please feel free to bring something more comfy to dance the night away later.
There is no parking available at St Stephen’s, and parking in the streets around it is for residents only on the day. It should be possible to park in the car park of the Premier Inn Hampstead (215 Haverstock Hill, London NW3 4RB) across the road from St Stephen’s for a £15 flat fee for 24 hours, but this is on a first-come, first-served basis and so a space is not guaranteed. To be sure of a parking space nearby, it may be best to use a parking app such as JustPark. There is no parking available close to Browns. The nearest option is the NCP car park at Barbican for £3 per hour, which is around a 10-minute walk from the venue. If possible, taking the tube or a taxi to get from St Stephen’s to Browns is recommended.
All guests need to have been invited officially, as some aspects of the day need exact numbers and knowledge of dietary preferences. Please get in touch if you have any queries about additional guests.
After the ceremony, there will be a reception inside St Stephen’s with drinks, light bites and some photos. The bride and groom will leave around 4 pm and then guests can make their way to the evening reception in Bank for 5 pm.
St Stephen’s and Browns are close to Northern line stations, and so taking the tube is a simple way to move between them. A direct tube on the Morden via Bank branch should take around 20 minutes. Bank station has a lot of exits, and the best one to take is exit 1. Then walk straight ahead past the pink wedge-shaped No 1. Poultry building on your left, and take the second street on the right, Old Jewry. Browns is on the right. An Uber or other taxi between the two venues would also be a simple and speedy option, and should take around 30 minutes.
Browns will be open to guests from 5 pm. There will be tea for the tea-lovers and some entertainment before dinner, so please arrive at 5 pm to make the most of this :) A mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be served over the evening. Guests are welcome to buy additional drinks such as cocktails at the bar if they wish.
The evening venue is adults-only, and all guests need to have been invited officially. Please get in touch if you have any queries about additional guests.
Some food served during the day will be suitable for vegetarians/vegans. We will be in touch with guests who have noted dietary restrictions such as allergies on their RSVP. Please let us know you have not already done this or have queries about dietary restrictions.
We have applied for a late license, so hopefully will be able to party into the early hours! We will update this when we know more.
