Recognizing the difficulty of maintaining a long-distance relationship, Mariam made the pivotal decision to move to Chicago in October 2024, Jonathan's home city, marking a new chapter in their journey as they began to build a life together. Their commitment culminated in March 2025, when Jonathan proposed to Mariam in Chicago.
