We're getting married!

Over ten years ago, at a church event filled with laughter and familiar faces, our paths crossed for the first time. We were just two kids surrounded by friends, never realizing that the person standing across the room would one day become our forever. Our lives kept intertwining over the years — small conversations here and there, quick check-ins that somehow always felt effortless. As time went on, Mariam began wondering which path to take for her future. Abanob, already set on becoming a dentist, was one of the first to encourage her to follow that same path. He told her she’d be great at it — that she had the heart, patience, and drive for it. It seemed like just a friendly conversation at the time, but in hindsight, that moment quietly changed the course of both our lives. Years later, fate stepped in once again. We both showed up — completely by surprise — to the same dental school interview. That night, there was a welcome party for all the interviewees, but instead of joining the crowd, we found ourselves sitting together, talking for hours, lost in conversation. We didn’t realize it then, but that night was the spark that would one day lead us here. Timing wasn’t on our side yet, but as always, life had its own plan. After graduation, Abanob decided to reach out. From that moment on, everything fell perfectly into place--timing was on our side finally. What started as a friendship over a decade ago turned into something deeper — a love story built on faith, patience, and God’s perfect timing. Now, we can’t wait to start our forever together, surrounded by the people who have been part of our story all along.
