The Beginning

Before their story began, both had already walked long seasons shaped by waiting, growth, and faith. For her, the years after 2012 were a season of intentional focus—on career, family, and most importantly, her relationship with God. Deeply involved in ministry, she served and led in the Young Professionals Ministry at church. Looking back, those years were not empty but formative—years where God shaped her heart, strengthened her faith, and taught her to trust His timing fully. For him, his journey was also one of growth and preparation, learning to rely on God’s guidance and timing in his own life. Though their paths were separate and across different places in the world, both were quietly being led toward the same story God was writing. One day, through a friend’s recommendation, she learned about a dating app where her friend had met her husband. Out of curiosity, she decided to try it and signed up for a free 10-day trial. While browsing, one profile stood out—his. She read it briefly, but before anything could develop, her trial expired. Life moved on, and there was no expectation that their paths would cross again. He saw that she had visited his profile. He was not only impressed with her profile but a cute picture (you can see below this page) where she was on a swing designed to look like a chariot. A sign in the top of the swing read "Max 2 Pax". She was the only one on the swing so he thought that was her clever dating app marketing. So he decided to message her. For the next three months, their conversations remained within the app. During that time, he never asked for her contact details or social media, allowing their communication to unfold slowly and intentionally. She continued to seek God in prayer, asking for clarity and peace about what was developing between them. Then, just two days before her subscription ended, he finally asked to continue their conversation outside the app. She gave him her WhatsApp, and for the first time, their connection moved into calls and deeper communication. Over the next nine months, they continued getting to know each other across different countries and time zones. Eventually, he traveled to the Philippines for the first time. That initial visit brought clarity and intention to what had been growing quietly between them. Two months later, he returned again. Three months after that, he came once more—and during that visit, on December 18, 2024, he asked her to marry him. What began in waiting, prayer, and surrender became a shared testimony of God’s perfect timing and faithfulness in bringing two lives together. Their story stands as a reminder that God’s timing is never rushed and never late—beautifully written far beyond what they could have planned for themselves.

The Story of Grace and Promise

“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Our story is living proof that God never forgets His promises. His plans are always worth waiting for. We have seen His hand in the quiet moments and the big milestones, teaching us patience, strengthening our faith, and reminding us that the best foundations are built with Him at the center. As we prepare to begin this new chapter together, we do so with grateful hearts, knowing that every step has been covered by His goodness. We are so thankful to share this day with the people who have prayed for us, supported us, and witnessed the way God has written our story, you’ve been part of every chapter, so consider this your cue to smile, cheer, tear up a little (we won’t tell), and dance with us like you’ve been waiting for this moment as long as we have.
