Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel page on our website for recommendations. We have blocked a limited group of rooms at Mahekal, a beautiful beach resort in Playa del Carmen.

Question

How can I get in touch with the Hotel to request a change or special arrangement?

Answer

If you would like to arrive earlier or depart after the official group dates, book a superior room category or a different meal plan, please contact Mahekal reservations team via email at reservations2.mhkl@gsf-hotels.com or call its toll free number 1 877 235 4452 from 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday CT.

Question

Mahekal Deposit and Cancellation Policy

Answer

DEPOSIT POLICY: 15% Deposit at time of booking (NON REFUNDABLE) and remaining balance 30 days before arrival. CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations more than 30 days before the arrival of the guest: If the reservation has been fully paid, we will refund the 85% of the total. In a period of 29 days of less before arrival: The whole stay is charged as penalty.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome to join our Friday and Sunday events, though we kindly request that the wedding remain an adults-only celebration. For families traveling with children, we are happy to help you connect with Fernanda to arrange convenient childcare options. Please contact her directly at 51033388494 to discuss specific arrangements and ensure a comfortable experience for everyone!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is formal. For Women: Floor-length or midi dresses in light, flowy fabrics like chiffon or silk are perfect. Soft colors and elegant prints work beautifully for the beach. We recommend avoiding casual sundresses or overly short styles. For Men: Linen suits are encouraged, paired with formal or semi-formal shoes. Ties are recommended but not required. A well-tailored guayabera shirt is also a great option for a polished yet comfortable look.
