Kids are welcome at our Friday and Sunday events. However, we'd love for our wedding day itself to be an adults-only celebration. If you're traveling with children, we're happy to connect you with Fernanda, our wedding planner, who can help arrange childcare options that work for your family. Please reach out to us, and we'll take it from there!
Our wedding dress code is formal. For Women: Floor-length or midi dresses in light, flowy fabrics like chiffon or silk are perfect. Soft colors and elegant prints work beautifully for the beach. We recommend avoiding casual sundresses or overly short styles. For Men: Linen suits are encouraged, paired with formal or semi-formal shoes. Ties are recommended but not required.
We're hosting a white party for our Welcome event! We'd love for our female guests to wear flowing, semi-formal dresses in white, beige, or nude tones. For our male guests, guayaberas paired with khaki pants would be perfect. Since we're celebrating by the beach, feel free to keep your footwear casual and comfortable—fancy shoes aren't necessary!
Casual and comfortable! Feel free to wear jean shorts, t-shirts, a summer dress, or even your swimsuit if you'd like to take a dip in the pool. It will be a relaxed gathering where we can thank you all for celebrating with us and share a final goodbye together.
Guests traveling from the United States, Colombia, and Europe won't need a visa to enter Mexico—a valid passport is all that's required.
We recommend flying into Cancun International Airport. From there, Playa del Carmen is approximately one hour away, so you'll want to arrange ground transportation. The good news? We have several options available to help make your arrival seamless.
We won't be providing complimentary airport transportation, but we've arranged for a transportation provider to reach out to all guests with details about available services and rates a couple of months before the wedding. We recommend booking in advance with them for added peace of mind and convenience. Of course, you'll also find plenty of options available at the airport, including buses, taxis, and private drivers, should you prefer to arrange transportation upon arrival in Cancun.
No. Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place at Villa la Joya, located approximately 30 minutes from Mahekal Beach Resort.
