Skye & Mariah first met through their mutual friends, Taylor and Davis, at their wedding. Skye eventually got her number from Taylor after they told him Mariah thought he was cute. When Skye finally worked up the courage, he texted Mariah for the first time October 8th, 2021. Mariah invited Skye to come to her birthday plans the following weekend to see if the attraction she felt to him was real and mutual. From that weekend on, they exchanged text messages, all day, everyday. They had their first official date at a cozy Mexican restaurant in Chehalis, where they instantly clicked. Their second date fell on Halloween weekend in 2021, a night full of fun—and surprises. That’s when Mariah learned about the severity of Skye’s tree nut allergy. He powered through his symptoms, showing both his strength and his determination to make the night memorable, and even stuck through our plans of going through the Georgetown Morgue. From that weekend on, they have been inseparable. Three years later, Skye proposed to Mariah in Scottsdale, Arizona, on the anniversary of their first date. It was the perfect moment to celebrate our journey and the start of a new chapter together.
