WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Mariah and RJ's story began in 2017 at Marymount University when they met on freshmen year move in day through mutual friends. At their first meeting, Mariah was, as always, a bit shy and reserved, mainly only speaking to her roommate. Meanwhile, RJ proceeded to help himself to Mariah's leftover chicken tenders and fries that she had left on her desk. After a few days of freshmen year activities and getting to know each other, it seemed like they were inseparable, spending all of their extra time together and officially dating just 11 days later. Throughout their four years of college, Mariah and RJ maintained a strong and supportive relationship while pursuing their respective degrees. Following their graduation in 2021, they started a new chapter by moving into their first apartment in Cary, NC, where they welcomed their first fur baby, Bruno and second fur baby, Kylo. 2022 marked the beginning of an exciting time as they delved into the process of building and designing their very first home. Throughout their years together, RJ has always said that when he proposed, he wanted Mariah to have absolutely no idea it was happening. So in March 2024, after a normal day of breakfast, mini golf, and playing with Kylo, Mariah was in complete shock when RJ finally popped the question on the lake behind their first apartment. RJ went as far as keeping his plans to himself until 30 minutes prior, when he asked Mariah's dad for his blessing. The proposal was truly a special moment after 7 years together and Mariah could not stop crying! Mariah and RJ are beyond excited to be starting this new chapter in their lives with their closest family and friends by their side!
