It's all hapening!

Well, where do I begin? Our story is simply a fairy tale. God truly put us together. We started off as members of the same congregation. About a year later, Michael texted me and asked if we could hang out. At the time, I was very cautious because I had been hurt two years prior, and was not looking for love. Michael assured me that God placed it on his heart to text me, and that his intentions were pure, and I soon came to know the humble and genuine person he is. Our first date was at Buffalo Wild Wings, where we watched the Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors playoff game 5! Now I'm not much of a sports fan, but I enjoyed every minute of our time together. Even though Michael was into the game, he showed me just as much attention, and I was instantly comforted by his silly jokes and inviting smile. I never believed the phrase "love at first sight", but after that first date we both knew we would spend our lives together. The rest is history. Since that first date, we have fallen in unconditional love. Although some may say our start was unconventional, and they are right, we are destined to be together. Psalms 18: 22 says, " He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor with the Lord." (NKJV). Now the proposal; I was on a seven day cruise with my family and a good friend. The Sunday we returned home, I remember feeling so drained and just wanting to take a nap. However, my good friend, Evelyn, wanted to take pictures downtown -Or so I thought. WOW. I walked into an ambush! My family, Michael and his family, and a few of my close friends were at Capital City Grill anxiously awaiting for me to arrive. It was a dream come true. Actually, I could't have imagined a more perfect proposal. When he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife my answer was obviously YES. We haven't been dating a full year, but I know God made us for each other. We look forward to our wedding day and our future together, whatever it may bring.
