Matt and I were destined to be, there is no doubt about that. Here I was at 22 years old working at Shell gas station, my first job after having Zaiden who was now two years old. Once upon a time, this man came in everyday for his morning coffee. Little did I know that it was actually the furthest gas station from his house in the entire city. But here he was going the extra mile, no pun intended. This went on for months with no communication between the two of us. Then finally, the time came. Obviously the perfect time. A random day at work, I was then invited to church to attend a series called "Becoming Man", to which Matt invited me. Which he can now admit was because he was too afraid to ask me on a date. So year 2015, was the year I became a member of Xperience Church. During this time, there was still no ongoing communication between Matt and I for another two years. At this point I was at a new job and there was lost connection with the two of us. In year 2017, Matt and I so happened to cross paths again at a fundraiser. The moment I saw him, I knew this is who God placed in my path. To be my forever. A strong feeling I had never felt before. It took nearly a year of praying and fasting before the two of us knew, it was time to be an official thing. My life as I knew it was forever changed. A long road coming, a lot of rough patches, it was not easy, but they say nothing worth having ever is. Matt and I have gone through the fire to be where we are now. We could not be happier with the decisions we have made to be a stronger, healthier us. We are ecstatic to blend two families, become one, and most of all the Spanglers, party of 6. #StarryEyedSpanglers
