We’re getting married!

I was called outside to go see Matt, so I threw a coat on and went outside to candles lit up and told to follow them. As I walked to the back of the house now, the whole porch was lit up and Matt was in the middle just staring at me! When I got up to him, he kissed me and told me how much he loved me and we walked around the porch as he explained each poster he wrote about me and showed me pictures, then after doing that we went back to the middle of the porch and he poured out everything he thought about me, that made me cry! Then he got down on one knee and asked me to “Marry him”, the ring was gorgeous, he did such a great job and then we drank wine and went in the hot tub to celebrate! It was everything I dreamt about and more! I love him so much and he really pulled off a great proposal!❣️

We have known each other for years and been friends from middle school on. We weren’t the closest friends hanging out all the time, but when we saw each other we talked and got alone great! In high school we got closer with having art together and I having to hear him get in trouble all the time by Powers. Going into my Junior year him and I hung out a couple times more outside of school and Matt started to get a crush on me. I thought he was this cute adorable little sophomore, but didn’t know what I wanted yet. So we didn’t become anything during school just friends. Then one day, I realized I haven’t talked to him in while and he was deployed so thought I should message him and check on him. I did, and crazy to think he responded right away, we caught up.....for a couple months and then decided this is more than a friendship, lets try it out. We did and here we are today old friends that are now engaged and living our best lives. 💝
