We first met at church through our close mutual friend, Cassidy. We both noticed how easy it was to be around each other and how kind, genuine the other was, and how similar our humor is. However, we never knew we’d be more than just friends and we are so glad that we were wrong. It took a little while for us to become more than friends, with weeks, sometimes months between dates but everyone loves a slow burn. A few months later, on our third official date, we watched the 2005 version of Pride and Prejudice in the theater during its rerelease. We both love that movie and somewhere between the music and watching Mr. Darcy’s and Lizzy’s story develop, he reached for my hand. Later that night, when he walked me to the door, I surprised us both by leaning in for a kiss — and that’s where it all truly began. When he proposed, he tied everything back to that same Pride and Prejudice date with the quote: “You have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love… I love… I love you.” Now, we spend our days laughing until it hurts, sharing good food (and even better sweet treats), and doing our best to serve and love each other through everyday. It’s been full of laughter, sweetness, and a whole lot of love — and we can't wait for all time and eternity to be together.
