We were on a long weekend trip to the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. On our first full day there we got up early in the morning to get to our hiking spot before it filled up. Our plan was to hike 6 miles to Grotto Falls, then continue on to Brushy Mountain. When we got to Grotto Falls there was a beautiful waterfall that you could walk behind. The couple we were with let us go first so they could get pictures, they already knew Dylan's big plans! I started walking first in front of Dylan, just passed the waterfall he grabbed my hand and said “Mariah stop” I turned around as he grabbed both my hands he got down on one knee. The love of my life asked me to marry him, of course without a doubt I said YES!!

Dylan and I said yes to spending forever together on December 12, 2020. The day was perfect but surly not idea, thanks to covid. When planning the day you look forward to since a little girl and then having it squished is not fun, but thanks to both our our amazing families we were still able to have the best day. Our day was cold and snowy (Thanks Grandpa!! I told grandpa Larry I wanted snow on my wedding day and he gave me snow!) it was held at the Walford Community Center with just our wedding party and immediate family. Grandpa Greg married us in a short but sweet service and after we were able to have a dinner and dance. We ended our night in Amana at the Mill Wright Hotel where we stayed the night. Huge thank you to family and all our vendors that still made our day possible during a pandemic.
