Around 2016, Mariah kept noticing this guy on campus at SEMO, in Cape Girardeau where she was attending college. This guy she later found out name was Deontay. She would see him randomly and then wouldnt see him, because it was learned that he didnt actually attend SEMO but attended Robert Morris College. One day her and her roommates where throwing a party and she seen the guy. She told her close friend (flex, the maid of honor) and his friend that she wanted to talk to him. His friend put the message in his ear, and one day he made a snapchat video and she commented under the video. One random day, Deontay texted Mariah asking did she want to chill. They got to know each other very well and started dating. The two continued to see each other the whole last semester of her college days up until graduation December 2017. After graduation, Mariah kept in touch with Deontay and still was seeing him in St. Louis. In March of 2018, Deontay told Mariah that he was moving to Las Vegas. Mariah had been catching feelings for Deontay and then knew that she had to make a decision to end the dating or make it official. Mariah soon told Deontay she was moving with him. Deontay was shocked and kept thinking Mariah wasnt serious. Deontay told her you can come with me if you really are serious. Mariah felt that she was young and if this the person she wanted to be with, she had to follow. Mariah and Deontay made it official being in a relationship April 9, 2018, when Mariah made it to Las Vegas. Mariah and Deontay found out they were expecting their first child the end of May 2018. Mariah was very sick carrying their son, Deontay and Mariah eventually moved back to Missouri and welcomed their son Deontay Jr., Feb 10, 2019. A couple years later June 22,2021, they welcomed their first daughter Dakotah. On Aug. 24, 2024 Deontay decided to ask Mariah to marry him at her RN graduation party. They have since welcomed their last baby girl Denver on June 1,2025. No, the road was not easy; they weathered the storm and ready to take marriage full on.
