FAQs

Question

Is there a wedding ceremony?

Answer

Yes, the wedding ceremony is private and will be held at another location prior the reception. While we would love to have everyone attend our exchange of vows, the location is primitive and small, so all are invited to the celebration instead.

Question

What does it mean to receive Mariah and David?

Answer

Coordinators will direct you where to line up with ribbons to welcome the newly wed couple.

Question

How limited is parking?

Answer

There are 60 available parking spaces. If you are traveling with a group we encourage you to carpool instead of taking two vehicles. If you are able to carpool with others you are not traveling with, we would greatly appreciate it!

Question

What should I know about the venue?

Answer

This is a historic site and to preserve it, we will have a leave no trace policy. There is no smoking or food/beverages within 50 ft of the church or the cabin.

Question

Dress code?

Answer

This isn't a frills wedding. We will be outdoors, so dress comfortably. Think upscale picnic attire.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather can vary from rain to hot weather in September. I would anticipate being a little chillier being near the river and under forest canopy, especially as the sun sets. Should there be rain, there will be covered areas.

Question

Will there be a bathroom?

Answer

Yes, we will have a port-a-potty option.

Question

Should I bring my kids?

Answer

Kiddos are allowed and it is up to your family if you want to bring them. There will be lawn games in addition to dancing, feel free to bring table activities for them.
