Dane and Mariah's story started at Topgolf in 2018 - though despite working under the same roof, it took a while before their paths crossed. Eventually, they ended up in the same friend group. In early 2021, Mariah had brought a date around. Dane's immediate review? "I am not a fan of this guy." His reason? "He didn't buy any of us a round of drinks. You always buy the friends a round of drinks. You should break up with him." Mariah laughed it off, thinking he was joking- spoiler alert, Dane was not joking. A few weeks later, that relationship ended and Dane decided it was time. Mariah had hosted a Halloween party that year, and after hanging out with her dogs in her backyard, he kissed her. Mariah was stunned, because she had no idea what just happened. Then a few dates later, Dane asked Mariah to be his girlfriend. Since then, they have shared countless adventures - including moving from California to Idaho after just being together for just over a year, (bold move- 10/10 would recommend). Fast forward to Thanksgiving morning in 2024: while cutting down their Christmas tree, (a beloved yearly tradition between the two), Dane got down on one knee on what can only be described as a VERY unsafe mountain slope. Mariah was so shocked she completely blacked out the speech - thankfully, it was caught on video! And now, here we are - celebrating the next chapter in one of their favorite places on earth, surrounded by the people they love the most.
