As many of you may know, Braeden and Mariah are golfers. On this day, they decided to go golfing at Puakea golf course in Lihue. After 18 holes, Braeden asked Mariah to be his girlfriend. Spoiler alert - She said yes. With some time left, they decided to end the day watching the sunset at Salt Pond Beach. Beautiful right? Well, here’s we’re things took a turn. After that wonderful day, they got into an accident. I’ll skip the gory parts, but a long story short, Mariah ended up in the hospital with a broken tibia and fibula, a rod, and 2 screws. Braeden was able to walk away with some minor bumps, bruises .. but a totaled car. Once they returned home, Braeden practically moved in to help take care of Mariah. Ever hear of the saying “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” ? They might have took that a little too literal but, they’ve been inseparable since.
