In February 2021, Antwand messaged Mariah on Hinge. Unfortunately, Mariah had deleted the app and did not respond until April. So glad Antwand did not give up hope and was still open to connecting. Antwand’s approach was very different. He didn’t ask for the number right away, instead he took his time and they chatted online for about a month before he asked for her number. On May 19th, 2021 the two met at Mitchell’s for ice cream, despite Antwand not even liking ice cream. The two had their first date which lasted 3 hours. Knowing both of these two, that is more time than either had anticipated. After that date, the two begun a 3 year courtship. On September 6th, 2024, Antwand asked Mariah to be his wife. Being the smooth gentlemen he decorated a hotel room before their dinner. He often plans dinner before his business trips but little did Mariah know it was be a celebration of their engagement. Of course she said yes, and here we are preparing to say “I Do” 😍
