Grace & Mariah became sisters (in-law, but that's just a formality, we even look like we could be sisters) when Grace married Mariah's older brother Forrest in 2017. Mariah couldn't have chosen a better sister to join the Sanderson family if she had tried!

When Clay showed up in Abilene for school freshman year, he didn't know a soul, but after Grayson complimented Clay on his AirMax Nikes they have been roommates ever since. Even after college, Grayson moved to Sherman and has been continued to be roommates with Clay as they've been working after graduation.

Phoebe & Mariah became friends while working as lifeguards at the ACU pool - the start of a friendship to last a lifetime! They remained close all through college being the same sorority and spent time in Abilene after graduation starting our first jobs.

Garrett and Clay have been friends all throughout college and afterwards. They both share a love for water sports (wakeboarding, fishing, wake surfing, fishing some more) and big, loud trucks.

Abby and Mariah had heard a lot about each other from their boyfriends (Landon and Clay) before they ever got a chance to meet - but once they finally did, they became fast friends! The four of them love to get together for double dates and adventures.

One day in Rockwall, Clay saw a guy with a man-bun washing a fence, rolled down the window and asked the guy if he wanted to hang out, and that was that. Landon and his wife Abby are always down for a weekend getaway or a Tuesday evening at the Porch in Dallas.

Morgan quickly became Mariah and Annie's honorary third roommate during freshman year at ACU, and true roommate for the rest of college. They spent countless hours in nursing school, in the gym, and in coffee shops together. Mariah has always admired Morgan for her steadfastness and wisdom.

The first time Clay met Garrett in the ACU dorm lobby, Clay convinced him to accompany him on a weekend trip around Texas where they fished three lakes - resulting in a broken rod and very few fish. It was the start of a long friendship of outdoor adventures.

Mariah and Sallie met the first day of freshman year at ACU. Sallie and her roommate Katie lived just down the hall from Mariah, Annie, and Morgan in the dorms - and then they all shared a house for the next two years. They plan a "girls weekend" every year and look forward to it all year.

Clay and Parker met at ACU and were fraternity brothers. After a long day of building houses, they both enjoy a good afternoon whipping the zero turn lawn mower or skid steer.

Katie and Mariah share Colorado roots - but never met until college. Katie was an officer in the girls' sorority and brought everyone together through the events she planned and the glitter spread through the house they shared.

Clay and John became friends at ACU and were brothers in the same fraternity. After Covid redefined working from home, John moved from Corpus Christi and became Clay and Grayson’s other roommate. He worked out of the kitchen for the next year and can make you a mean steak with his cast iron.

Brandi and Mariah worked on the same floor at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, but didn't make the connection until they were introduced over Facetime by their boyfriends, Drew and Clay. They became great friends over that year in Abilene while they were both in long distance seasons of their relationships, and the friendship has just continued through moves and new jobs!

Drew and Clay met day one at ACU and stayed friends throughout college. They pledged Sub-T together and have remained close after graduation. Drew is always down to go with Clay to a Rangers game or Copper Creek salad.
Finn

A loyal companion to Clay, and now a companion to Mariah (maybe the loyalty will come with time). He goes by Finn, Lobster, Ferdinand the Bull, Finnston, Finntabulous, Loppy, and Black Cheetah. He is 30-40lbs overweight, enjoys a good, slow walk, and will often stop to smell the flowers. He is on an allergy pill year round because he's sensitive and loves naps on the couch more than anything. He is terrified of cows, and I mean terrified.
