When should I confirm my attendance by?

Answer

The sooner, the better! 🥂 We’d truly appreciate your RSVP as soon as you’re able — it helps us so much as we plan. Please note that June 1 is our final RSVP deadline, as our vendors require confirmed guest counts as the big day approaches. If we don’t receive a response by then, we’ll assume you won’t be able to join us.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We kindly ask guests to dress in formal attire. - Gentlemen are encouraged to wear suits and ties, and ladies to wear full-length dresses. - Bright colors and fun patterns are warmly encouraged but not required. - We recommend choosing lightweight, breathable fabrics. - Kindly refrain from wearing white or green, as these colors are reserved. - Floor is uneven, stilettos are not recommended. - Ladies: bring a pair of flat shoes to dance all night! What should I bring or gift the couple?

Answer

Your presence is truly the best present we could receive! If you’d like to give us a gift, our registry can be found under the “Registry” tab on this website. We’re also grateful for contributions to our "Dream Fund", where we’re saving toward buying a home together. Please check again after March 1st to find our full registry and details on monetary contributions.

Yes, of course! We’ll be happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies whenever possible. When you RSVP, please be sure to complete the dietary restrictions question on the website. Yes! Your little ones are welcome. Please be sure to specify you are bringing your kids when you RSVP. This is crucial so we can offer a kid friendly menu!

While our initial guest list is limited, we completely understand that some guests may wish to attend with a date. As we get closer to the wedding and have a clearer idea of our final headcount, we will do our very best to accommodate additional guests where possible. There will be plenty of parking at the venue, but to help everyone enjoy the night stress-free, we recommend considering transportation options instead of driving. Please check the website after March 1 for suggested transportation to and from the venue.

What can I expect about the venue?

Our wedding will take place at the Ithaca Farmers Market, a beloved local landmark right on the waterfront of Cayuga Lake. The market has been a gathering place for the Ithaca community for decades and is known for bringing people together to celebrate food, creativity, and local life, which made it feel like the perfect place for us to celebrate something so meaningful. Ithaca is also the town where we fell in love and where we are building our life together, so celebrating here feels especially close to our hearts. The venue is an open air, outdoor space featuring a large roofed pavilion with no walls, allowing for fresh air, beautiful lake views, and a relaxed, summery atmosphere. You will be fully covered by the pavilion, but still very much outside, surrounded by water, sky, and greenery. Evenings by the lake are typically cool and comfortable on summer nights, so we recommend a light layer if you tend to get chilly after sunset. Nothing heavy, just something cozy. It’s bright, breezy, and full of character casual yet special — and we couldn’t imagine a better setting to celebrate with the people we love.

What will the flow of the day look like?

We’ll start with a formal, elegant, and meaningful ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour that’s perfect for mingling, grabbing a drink, and getting to know fellow guests. Then we’ll sit down for dinner… and after that, all bets are off. Once the music kicks in, the night turns into a real celebration. Think classic party favorites mixed with Colombian energy, Latin rhythms, and a dance floor that stays alive. This is not a “sit politely and sway for one song” kind of night. This is a dance, laugh, celebrate-hard, feel-the-love kind of party. You don’t need to be a dancer. You don’t need to know the moves. Just bring your energy, your joy, and your best “let’s have fun” attitude. We promise the rest will take care of itself.

What kind of music will we be dancing to?

The bride is Colombian, and we are so excited to share a little piece of her culture with you. Expect lively Latin rhythms like salsa, merengue, and reggaeton mixed in throughout the night. The energy will be high, the beats will be fun, and the dance floor will be very welcoming. Never danced to these styles before? No worries at all. This is a judgment-free dance floor. No steps to memorize, no pressure to “get it right.” Just show up with an open mind and let your body do whatever feels good to the music. And if at any point you feel unsure about dancing or don’t know the right steps, just look for a Colombian—especially someone from the bride’s family. They’ll be easy to spot because they’re usually in the middle of the action, laughing, cheering, and dancing nonstop. Ask them to show you a move or two, and you’ll instantly feel more confident and part of the fun. Want to feel extra ready?
