We'Re Getting Married!

We met at the University of Houston during a lifeguard certification course. Maria was taking the class and I was helping assist. At that time, it wasn’t love at first sight, at least not from Maria’s side but after several weeks of getting to know each other, we knew it would be a perfect match.

Our proposal happened on November, 17th 2017 which is also Erick's birthday. After a nice dinner with his family and few friends, we planned to either go to a bar or to go back to our place to keep on celebrating. However Erick had the idea to go to the Water Wall, which is one of the most romantic places here in Houston. As Maria got to know where the next stop was, she knew exactly what is going to happen next. The big moment every girl awaits for. The one question. But not so fast. It was getting dark and we all awaited the big moment, until the spotlights turned off and the water ceased. It was pitchblack and the once romantic ambience disappeared. Nevertheless, it did not stop Erick from asking the biggest question of his life to someone he wants to spend the rest of my life with. It wasn't the most glorious timing, but in the end it was all tears and laughter, and we cannot wait until we are husband and wife.
