Like many couples these days, we met in the most romantic way possible: tinder! Ryan was in a career transition, and Marimar was focused on traveling the world as much as possible. Neither of us were looking for something, but alas, tinder would decide differently. As tinder goes, we saw each other’s profiles, liked what we saw, and “swiped right”. We decided to meet up for a beer at a local brewery, the day before Marimar was heading off to Europe for two weeks. Even with all those European men around, Marimar just couldn’t get the southern boy from Laurens, SC off her mind. They talked daily while she was away, and when she returned the rest is history!

In between swiping right and Ryan putting a ring on it, we enjoyed two years of (mostly) bliss. We enjoyed hundreds of beers, multiple bottles of wine, trips, adventures with our wonderful friends, and made new memories in CA, NC, GA, VA, LA, WV, OH, KY, MI, IL, MO, IN, TN, Spain, Italy and our near and dear Puerto Rico. We met each other’s families, friends, co-workers and welcomed our precious nephew into the world!

2020 brought us a world-wide pandemic, a quarantine and lock-down, a new house, plenty of stress, and tons of laughs. It also brought a cancelled trip to Europe, where Ryan was planning to get down on one knee and ask Marimar for forever. 2020 messed up a lot, but as they say, love conquers all. Ryan proposed in the comfort of our home and Marimar had to think about it. Just kidding! She obviously screamed “What is this?! Bro are you serious?!” Through all this year brought us, Mary and Ryan grew stronger. Life made us first time homeowners in SC, where we are excited to get married in the area where it all began. We are looking forward to including you in our day!
