Maria Clara and Mitch first met each other just before the first day of school during their freshman year at the University of Denver. Living in adjacent dorm rooms, they were easy company for each other in the downtime after classes. Simple studying and dining hall trips turned into movies and weekend adventures, and after only a little more than a month, their friendship had quickly grown into a more personal relationship. The two have been together for the four years since then, and have faced life's challenges hand in hand.
