One of the most famous burger joints in Chicago, Au Cheval is just 0.2 miles and ~3 min walk from Cabra. They don't take reservations, so expect a wait - but we've heard it's worth it!
Cindy's Rooftop
One of our favorite rooftops - with an amazing view of Millennium Park and Lake Michigan (with some delicious cocktails to boot), Cindy's is a great afternoon stop on a sunny day!
Levain Bakery – West Loop, Chicago
Need a sweet treat? Levain Bakery just opened its first Chicago outpost and has the best cookies around, try our favorite: Chocolate Chip Walnut! Levain is located just a block south of Cabra, ~3 min walk.
Chicago Architectural Boat Tour
Our favorite tourist activity in Chicago is the Architectural Boat Tour - we highly recommend if you have never been, or even if you have! There are various vendors who sell tickets ranging from $20-$50 but be mindful of the pick-up location when booking.
The Bean (Cloud Gate)
A Chicago classic, and a must-see selfie spot, take a stroll through Millennium Park and see The Bean!
Chicago Cubs Game at Wrigley Field
The Chicago Cubs are playing the Kansas City Royals at 1:20pm at Wrigley Field on Friday August 18th. Maria and Brett plan on attending!
Chicago Air and Water Show (North Ave Beach)
Planning to stay for the weekend? Chicago's famous Air and Water Show is taking place August 19-20! Brett and I went for the first time in the summer of 2022 and were blown away (special thanks to Courtney Iser and family for the amazing views from their boat!) You can view it from North Ave Beach and along the Lake Michigan lakefront.
