We met at our mutual karate dojo, MAI in Anaheim, CA—surrounded by flying fists, focused minds, and a tight-knit group of martial arts friends (kids included!). What began as friendship became something more, though neither of us saw it coming. We were best friends first—laughing, training, and doing life side by side with our dojo crew. There was no official “first date.” Our love grew naturally, quietly, and unexpectedly—like the best things in life often do. Somewhere between sparring sessions and group hangouts, we realized we were each other’s person. Maria knew Tony was the one because of his kind heart and the way he always shows how much he cares. He makes her feel safe, seen, and deeply loved. And Tony? He knew Maria was his forever when he realized she could be his best friend, his partner in crime, and his greatest adventure—all in one. Then came Halloween 2024. Maria was dressed as a cow (yes, really), and Tony—ever the romantic—completely surprised her with a proposal. It was sweet, hilarious, and perfectly them. Together, we’ve built a life full of laughter, adrenaline, and love. Whether we’re speed racing each other, off-roading in the desert, or just curled up watching a movie, we’re happiest when we’re together.
