Our Story
During the summer of 2019, Taylor and Maria met while working at a local grocery store (Jack’s Fruit Market) in their home town. Neither of them anticipated that one date was going to lead them here.
They enjoyed chatting about life and what each of them value in friendship, partnership, and so on. Maria and Taylor didn’t know how a mid-distance relationship would work, but both agreed it would be worth it.
When the pandemic started, Taylor ended up coming back to Bay City, and the two quarantined together. With great surprise, and never spending more than 2 days together, this allowed them to bond even closer.
Maria started her master’s degree at GVSU in August of 2020, and the couple decided to officially move in together. They spent two years in GR, bringing home their fur baby, Milo, in the spring of 2021. María then got a job offer at U of M in 2022 and they were off to Ann Arbor!
The couple is now in the process of purchasing a house and are excited for the future!
