Matt & Maria met in 2009 while attending college in Boston. Matt was studying Civil Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology and Maria was studying Public Relations at Simmons College. The two met through a mutual friend and the rest is history! On June 1, 2019 Matt popped the question. He called Ouimilie, a store in Beacon Hill that Maria works with regularly for her blog, and set up a fake photoshoot. In addition, he met with Maria's photographer and asked that she be available when Maria reached out. While Maria was being photographed at the Charles River Esplanade, the couple's song "Diamonds or Twine" by Ryan Hurd started playing behind her. When she turned around, Matt was on one knee asking her to marry him. Once she said yes, the newly engaged couple heard cheering in the distance. Moments later, their families and closest friends were walking towards them to celebrate. After the engagement, the families headed to brunch where Matt played a video of him working with the jeweler to create Maria's ring. They're so happy that you've been, and continue to be, a part of their journey! The best is yet to come.
