Luis and I met at a Halloween party in October 2016 that our friend Janelle invited us to. But apparently, that was not the case. Luis and I actually met in April 2015 at Las Justas (an intercollegiate sports competition held annually where Puerto Rican universities compete against each other in different sports). But to be honest, I don't remember much about that day. After meeting each other at the Halloween party, I was interested and told our friend Janelle to give me his number. Still, she failed, haha Next Day, and I texted her, saying that she never gave me his phone number, and she said, don't worry, you will meet him tonight. We met up in Cupey at a gas station that had a liquor store and spot. After being there for a few hours, our friend Janelle left and left us alone. We talk the entire night, and I remember feeling like I met the person I would spend the rest of my life with. And the rest became history...
Luis and I always talked about how simple we are as a couple. So Luis made the proposal very simple and very us. On Thanksgiving Day, Luis told me to dress nice and pretty since it was just going to be the three of us for dinner (Luis, Abi & I). After serving dinner and eating, Luis tells me to get the pie and flan out of the refrigerator, and I turn around; Luis was on his knee beside Abi, saying my full name and asking me to marry him... and of course, I said YES!
Luis and I received the most memorable surprise that we had been waiting for so long to share. We are expecting a baby boy due on March 29th, 2022. Luis and I are so excited about this new addition to our little family. We can't wait for everyone to meet him at the wedding.
