Our Story
Our story begins at the Sportman's Club in Chicago, where we met for our first date. We spent the evening drinking draft Old Styles and dinner was tamales from the Original Tamale Guy. Over the next two years, we spent our time on walks in the city including Humboldt Park, the 606, and along Lake Michigan, as well as exploring the cities breweries and dive bars. We were also regulars at the Chipp Inn, where Kirk had his $2 can of Hamm's and Maria enjoyed her ice cold bottle of Miller Lite. On Sundays, you could find us at Best Intentions enjoying the city's best cheeseburger and fries!
After two years in Chicago, we made the decision to move to Iowa together. That said, Des Moines has multiple direct flights back to Detroit, so we are looking forward to regular trips back to Michigan to see family and friends.
On a weekend visiting Chicago after moving, Kirk asked Maria to marry him! She said YES and we are so excited for you to help us celebrate our marriage. Let's Party!
