Golden Gate Bridge
Walking across the GGB is a San Francisco classic. Bring a jacket!
Marina Green
Start here, grab a coffee from the Philz coffee truck, and enjoy a walk from here to Crissy Field, which has beautiful views of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge.
Ferry Building
We live close to the Ferry Building, and love going there for lunch, ice cream, or books. You can walk along the Embarcadero from the Ferry Building down to Oracle Park or all the way to Pier 39. You can also catch ferries to Larkspur and Sausalito.
City Lights Bookstore
One of our favorite independent bookstores and a local landmark.
Golden Gate Park
There are tons of things to do in Golden Gate Park, including the Japanese Tea Garden, the Conservatory of Flowers, and the California Academy of Arts and Science.
Mission Dolores Park
The Mission is one of the liveliest, most vibrant neighborhoods in the city. We recommend grabbing a burrito on nearby Valencia Street and taking in some of the best (and weirdest) views from the park.
Marin Headlands
Just across the Golden Gate Bridge, the Marin Headlands have stunning views of San Francisco and lots of WWII-era bunkers to explore. One of our favorite hikes is Tennessee Valley, just below the headlands.
Muir Woods
Walk among old-growth coastal redwoods in Muir Woods. Parking reservations are required, or you can take a rideshare service or shuttle.
Fiorella Polk
One of our favorite restaurants in SF – highly recommend following this up with Bob's Donuts – open 24 hours – down the block.
Drake's Dealership
For a day in the East Bay, we recommend grabbing a beer and pizza at Drake's, taking a look at the murals in downtown Oakland, and then walking down to beautiful Lake Merritt.
