Danny is John’s cousin and one of his closest friends. From late-night gaming sessions to nearly burning the house down with a microwave transformer, Danny and John have been inseparable since they were kids. He brings the perfect mix of fun, reason, and just the right amount of chaos, making every experience unforgettable. Alongside his wife, Kate, Danny recently welcomed their second daughter into the world, giving John the honorary title of uncle. We’re honored to have Danny standing right beside John on his big day.

Meet Elias, John's longest standing friend. John and Elias have been through every up and down imaginable, yet their friendship has remained constant, with both certain it will last a lifetime. After meeting in a youth group while John was living in Colorado, the two quickly became best friends and found they could share anything with one another. Elias now lives in Ohio with his husband, Will. He is one of the kindest, most genuine, and easiest people to talk to you’ll ever meet.

Annie is the fiancée of Maria’s brother, Matthew, and from the beginning, she was meant to be part of the family, despite being nervous to meet Maria at first, there was nothing to worry about, as Maria adored her right away and the two quickly became close friends. Now, whether they’re planning dog playdates or spending hours talking, they are inseparable, and what started with nerves has turned into a lasting friendship and a sisterhood that continues to grow.

Meet Matthew (Matt), Maria's younger brother and fiancé of Annie! Shortly after John and Maria started dating, Matt made it very clear he was in full protective-brother mode but these days, the two share an unbreakable bromance. Matt and John have grown extremely close and often find themselves helping each other with projects and dog-watching duties. Matt always has a joke or a song ready to share, making him an absolute joy to be around.

Married to Maria’s brother, Denny, Barbara may be her sister-in-law by title, but she’s felt like a true sister from the start and has always been someone Maria can count on especially for fashion advice or capturing the perfect photo. Even though Barbara lives in Virginia, distance has never affected their relationship, and every visit feels like no time has passed as they pick up right where they left off, laughing, catching up, and making lasting memories together.

Meet Denny, Maria's brother and Barbara's husband! To John, Denny was always Maria’s big, scary older brother but over time, their relationship grew, and John was warmly welcomed into the family. Denny and John bonded over an ice-fishing catch battle against Denny’s dad (which they lost) and through the time Denny came out to visit from Virginia. What started as intimidation quickly turned into friendship and family.

Everyone has "that one friend", and for John and Maria, that friend is Caleb. John and Caleb grew super close through their service together and share a love for embracing weirdness in all its forms. No matter where he goes, Caleb knows how to make an impression and stand out from the crowd. Whether he’s doing tricks in his wheelchair, squeezing into the most unexpected places, or delivering wild commentary, Caleb is never dull to be around. On top of it all, he’s incredibly intelligent and seems to know a little about everything.

Before John and Alek even officially met, they had already shared an uncanny number of parallels they attended the same high school, joined the military through the same recruiter, ended up in the same unit, and even would get mistaken for one another. Over the course of nearly two years activated together, their friendship grew into something truly special. With a great sense of humor and a laid-back, dependable nature, Alek has truly become an extension of the family.

Jun has a natural ability to connect with people, he’s easy to talk to, full of great stories, and always up for trying something new. His positive energy and authenticity make him someone you immediately enjoy being around, and he’s quickly become a valued part of the family.
