It’s optional. Taxis are certainly available but we HIGHLY suggest utilizing the shuttle the resort provides. When booking your room, there will be a question on whether or not you want to request a shuttle. There is a shared and a private shuttle. Please feel free to ask us or our agent, Andrea Coots, for any other questions.
Covid testing is not required going to Mexico, however, it is required to test negative 24-48 hours prior to your flight back to the United States. When we visited our venue in May, the test costs $25 per person and this is set up by your personal concierge. This is of course a fluid situation and we will make sure to update this page as much as we can.
Gadi and I will be arriving October 20th and will be leaving October 25th. We are not going on our honeymoon right away so we might extend our stay - so this might change :)
Yes. There are 7 restaurants in El Dorado Royale. For dinner, reservations are recommended to be made for all of the restaurants. We recommend making reservations for dinner the day you arrive. Depending on which building you get, you are assigned a personal concierge and they are located in an office near your building. There are also additional restaurants in El Dorado Casitas and El Dorado Generations that are all accessible to us. All drinks from the bars are free. They also have a tequila tasting activity daily! They have food carts every day (but they close on the earlier side around 3pm-5pm). As an example, when we stayed there were food carts for paella, tacos, and burgers. They varied on the day. There was also a cart going around serving margaritas 😆.
There are people in the lobby that offers excursions and we plan on doing one or 2 during our stay (haven’t decided what yet). At the resort, there are plenty of things to do besides chilling by the pool or the beach. They do have 2 spas and a gym. They offer activities by the music pool/bar daily. At nighttime, they have live music daily which we enjoyed the most during our previous stay. There is also a bar that doesn’t close until 2 am!
The wedding will be done in the beach - so keep in mind…. Sand! We would like our guests to look nice and comfortable at the same time. You can be barefoot in the sand if you’d like. The ceremony will be in a gazebo next to a pool. So wear comfortable shoes for dancing.
It’ll be casual elegant dress code: no t-shirts, tank-tops, shorts, tennis shoes or sandals may be worn in air-conditioned restaurants.
