Frode planned our first date: we took the ferry from Helsingborg to Helsingør (Denmark) to explore the quaint streets, eat smørrebröd (open-faced sandwiches), and walk around Kronberg castle. From Örkelljunga, a bus (#10) will take you to Helsingborg. It takes about 50 minutes and costs $25 for a 24 hour-ticket. You board the ferry inside the station.
Frode & Maria both live in Lund. It is a charming university city with lots of history. The centerpiece is a cathedral with two towers built in the early 12th century. They attend a church, Bethlehem Church, in Malmö. Malmö is the third largest city in Sweden with a population of about 360,000. From Örkelljunga, Lund is a 1.5-hour and Malmö another 10 minutes south by train & bus.
