Things To Do

Here are some of our favorite things to do on the island!
Lanikai Beach

Lanikai Beach

Kailua, HI 96734

This is, hands down, the best beach in Oahu! The water is warm and calm. It's perfect for a low-key day on the beach. Parking is on the street/neighborhood areas, so pay attention to no parking zones and bike lanes to ensure you're not blocking anyone.

Pearl Harbor National Memorial

Pearl Harbor National Memorial

1 Arizona Memorial Place, Honolulu, HI 96818
, (808) 422-3399

If you're looking for a museum to visit, we recommend spending a day at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial.

Kahuku Farms

Kahuku Farms

56-800 Kamehameha Highway, Kahuku, HI 96731
, (808) 628-0639

Looking for an amazing acai bowl on a peaceful farm? This is your spot! Everything on their menu is sourced from the farm. You can also purchase things to take home, like lilikoi butter and honey mango lotion.

Sandy Beach

Sandy Beach

8549 Kalanianaʻole Hwy, Honolulu, HI 96825

If you want gnarly waves, you'll find it at Sandy Beach. The current and waves are strong, so be careful getting into these waters. The drive here from Waikiki is gorgeous and there's a dedicated parking lot, making it a nice place to soak up the sun. There's also a food truck here in case you get hungry.

Haleiwa

Haleiwa

Haleiwa, HI 96712

Haleiwa is a small, beach town with lots of local boutiques for shopping. There's plenty of parking and food trucks. It's best to get here mid-morning before the crowds arrive. Make sure to check out SoHa Living for home decor and the Wyland gallery!

Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse Trail

Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse Trail

Makapuʻu Point Lighthouse Trail, Waimanalo, HI 96795
, (808) 587-0300

This is a great hike to do with little ones. The best part is that the whole hike is paved, making it easily accessible for strollers. There's a small parking lot available and street parking.

Dole Plantation

Dole Plantation

64-1550 Kamehameha Highway, Wahiawa, HI 96786
, (808) 621-8408

Although this is a typical tourist attraction, there's a lot to do when visiting this plantation. There's a garden to explore, a pineapple maze, and plenty of pineapple treats. This does get busy, so plan accordingly!

Honolulu Beerworks

Honolulu Beerworks

328 Cooke Street, Honolulu, HI 96813
, (808) 589-2337

This is a great spot for locally brewed beer. Check their site to see if they're hosting a pub quiz while you're visiting!
