Daniel & Maria first met each other in preschool in 1995- and didn’t see each other for 15 years after, when they both took the same algebra class at the same college. He was attracted to her. But she had a boyfriend, so he didn’t say a word. Fast forward 6 years later. Maria went through his line at the grocery store where Daniel worked, saw his badge said “Vito”, and realized he was the random creeper that had added her on Snapchat months before but had never said anything. She later messaged him to say “Hey” and with a little liquid courage via Bud Light, Daniel started a conversation. With their shared love of cars and an interest in racing, they quickly became friends, and began talking every day. Eventually, Daniel asked her out on a date. She said no. He asked her every day for 2 weeks straight and always got the same answer. He was about to give up when she finally agreed. He took her to BDubs, ate his weight in garlic Parmesan wings, and took her street racing after. The rest is history.

Daniel and Maria live in Whitesburg with their Yorkie (Charlie), Labradoodle (Garth), Goldendoodle (Marley), and Dane (Harley). Maria is a hairdresser and works at Cut Away, and Daniel works as a custodian for the public school system. They both enjoy cars, movie nights with their pets, and cooking together. They were together 16 months before Daniel “got drunk enough” to pop the question.
