COVID-19 Requirements for entry to Colombia

Entry to Colombia requires physical proof of COVID-19 vaccine (2 rounds of Pfizer/Moderna, or 1 round J&J are considered a full round), OR a negative COVID-19 test result. The test can be a PCR within 72 hours of your travel date or a rapid test within 48 hours of your travel date. Tests cannot be done via at-home testing kits.

Flight

Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport (BAQ)

The first airport in Latin America! This is Barranquilla's airport. The most common airlines are American Airlines, COPA (United affiliate), and Spirit. This is a forty-minute drive from the main hotel. We recommend you arrive Friday at the latest.

Shuttle

Shuttle from the airport to the hotel Wednesday & Thursday American Airlines Flight AA1125

There will be an airport shuttle for guests arriving on Wednesday, and Thursday on American Airlines flight AA1125. There will be signage for our wedding guests.

This is where we will host our post-ceremony cocktails and wedding reception! Please send an email directly to Gaby Nieto at nietogabriela7@gmail.com with the following information: First and Last Name Passport Number Check-in date and Check-out (we recommend this is written out to avoid confusion since internationally the day comes before the month) Number of people that will stay in the room Bed style preference - couples bed or two separate double beds Payment IS NOT needed this will be completed during your stay

Travel Note

Cab Information

Cabs in Colombia do not accept credit cards. If you are planning to take a cab from the airport to the hotel please have Colombian Pesos available -about $65.000 ($15 USD). You will share with them your destination is El Hotel el Prado address is likely, not necessary, but make sure you have it handy Cra. 54 #70-10, Centro Historico, Barranquilla, Atlántico, Colombia. Please ask them to take you through the Circunvalar La Prosperidad (toll road), and your total ride can include the cost of the toll.

Flight

Rafael Núñez International Airport

This airport has a lot of international flights. It would be a great entry, or departure airport if you are hoping to spend some time in Cartagena. This hotel is a two hour car/shuttle ride from our main hotel/venue. We recommend you fly-in Friday morning at the latest.
