Once upon a time there was a princess in a galaxy far far away, and the knight that was supposed to save her was on his way. Wait, wrong story. Our story isn't your typical love story. It's actually quite funny if you know the actual story, but I'll give you guys the one that's not so bad. We start off by hanging out with a group of friends, and we had hung out the entire night, but we didn't speak 2 words to each other. I later asked my friend who he was. And that was that. I had thought he was cute and he thought the same. But we never reached out to each other. Fast forward to a couple years later, I ran across his profile and decided to send him a message (yes, i made the first move.) Since it was his first day back at work it took us 2 weeks to actually hang out. The Saturday he got to come home I had a bad day and I had told him about it, part of me wanted to blow him off and not hang out but I did it anyways. When we met up I was greeted with a bag full of goodies, all my favorite snacks. He said “you told me you had a hard day and I wanted to make it better” and he sure did. As most of you should know, we’re both pretty shy people, but not that night we weren't. We talked and talked for hours, but it felt like minutes. It had felt like we knew each other for ages. From that day forward we had been inseparable, we both knew we were stuck. Now this is where the backwards part starts, in April of 2025 we were blessed to find out we were expecting. We were terrified, but excited at the same time. We had talked about getting engaged and married. We had even picked out a wedding date before we were engaged. Chris had planned a trip to Cancun for my birthday and he proposed!! My pregnant self was very emotional but I loved it. On that trip we had received the blood work saying our baby was a girl, and a week later it was confirmed on the ultrasound. We bought a house and moved in, 10 days later I gave birth to our sweet baby girl. Our life together has definitely not been your typical love story but its OUR love story. And I know we wouldnt trade it for the world.
