Question

When should I book my hotel or AirBnB?

Answer

Because Traverse City is a destination for many tourists in the summer, we highly encourage our friends and family to book their lodging as soon as possible. It is very common for places to get booked up far in advance, and we want to ensure this is a fun and stress-free experience for all! We have room blocks reserved for guests at four hotels in the area. You'll find hotel block information on the "Travel" tab of our website.

Should I stay for the weekend?

Answer

Yes! Our hope is that our guests will be able to enjoy Saturday and Sunday after our wedding and "make a weekend of it," as we will have many out-of-town guests. Reach out to us for ideas of fun things to do! We'll be hanging out on a beach on Saturday for lunch, so please come by and join us if you like!

What should I wear?

Answer

We request that our guests wear summer semi-formal attire. Short and longer dresses are both lovely, and suits and sports coats are appropriate. Much of the evening will be outside, so dress for the weather and have fun with it!

Will there be food served?

Answer

Yes, we will have a cocktail hour with light hors d'oeuvres followed by a dinner. Our guests with dietary restrictions will have the opportunity to indicate this on their RSVP. There will be an open bar.

Can I bring my kids, or a plus one?

Answer

We love the kids in our life, but this is an adults-only event. Plus-ones will be indicated on your invitation.

Will there be parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at Timberlee Hills! Cars may remain parked overnight, though the venue asks that they are collected by 9:00 AM the following morning.

What will the beach day look like on Saturday?

Answer

We will have the Senior Center beach reserved for the entire day, and are planning to hang out from around 11 to 3, though our friends and family are welcome to stay or come back later in the day if they wish! We will have food and NA beverages, feel free to BYOB to keep the party going strong. The beach is right downtown with plenty to do, drop in and say hello or stay the whole time, whatever feels right for you!
