During Covid, they matched on Tinder while he lived in Juneau, Alaska and she lived in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii also known as the Big Island. They exchanged snapchats and started messaging from there. One day, Chance accidentally butt dialed Maria sparking an interest between the two. Soon after, they consistently spoke on the phone, through texting, video chatting, and their social media accounts. They officially started online dating and started making plans to meet in person. Maria flew to Alaska for a short period then went back to Hawaii where 6 months later Chance followed her back to his home state, Hawaii. That's when they started to build a life, a family, and foundation of what their future would look like together. Chance decided to propose to Maria in February 16, 2022 while they celebrated a late Valentines day due to their work schedule. Chance made a promise to Maria that he would bring her back home to California so they can make preparations for their dream wedding with family and friends.
