Thank you all for visiting Maria and I's website and for RSVPing to our magical day. Some of you might not be as familiar with our story as others so let me help anyone who needs it. We officially met on May 15, 2020, in a pet store. Our paths crossed because of bad storekeeping of all things. She was talking to the manager about lavender-scented bedding for guinea pigs. They didn't have it like they normally would. I was there to get water filters for a turtle tank, which were also out of stock. The weather was awful outside, mere moments before a horrible Florida thunderstorm. I had ridden my motorcycle there like an idiot. So after listening to the tiny but gorgeous stranger passionately speak to the store manager, I was a little put back. Next, it was my turn hoping at the time that they had my filters and I could get home before the weather. My luck had run out. But God had another plan for me. Desperate for what I was looking for I recalled what the store manager had told me, he had also said to the beautiful young woman. That what we were looking for was at another store some miles away, and that we could get it there. Trying to avoid the rain, I stopped the woman and introduced myself. That is when I officially met the love of my life. The two of us not knowing each other at the time made it hard to see that. After introductions and some playful banter, I told Maria that I was there on my motorcycle and that I was worried about the rain. Being the sweet and thoughtful woman she is, my future wife agreed to give me a lift to the other store. Of course, I would tell her, what the hell was she thinking giving a stranger a ride now? But she did. We rode to the pet store talking away in the car. In some ways, it felt like we had known each other for months. We got our respective items at the store. She was about to take me back to my bike. She turned to me in the car and said "You know It's still raining" and I said "You're right we should grab a bite to eat" and she said, "That sounds like a great idea". And we went to a Mexican restaurant where we continued to talk for hours over a wonderful meal. She did eventually drive me back to my bike, and the rest is history.
