Andrea is Maria's best friend and maid of honor. Andrea was so excited when she found out she was going to have a little sister and has been by Maria's side ever since, acting as her "second Mommy." Looking towards the future, Maria is excited for more "Andrea & Maria Aventures, Woo-hoo!"
Scott Eibel
Best Man
Scott is Adam's youngest and only brother. The two have been inseparable since they were young. Although they grew up competing head to head in the pool (or on the gamecube) and having brotherly fights, Scott has always been there for Adam when he's needed him the most. Their sibling competition continues to this day- with Scott constantly reminding Adam that his alma mater, Clemson, will always be better than Miami in football. Adam is honored to have such a great brother by his side on his wedding day.
Samantha Evankovich

Maria and Sami met when Maria was only 15 years old. Sami took Maria under her wing, always there to give her wisdom, especially about college and relationships. Sami was there to support Maria as Maria pursued a career in medicine--- allowing her to shadow in the OR and giving her scrubs, scrub caps, compression socks etc. As Maria moves forward in her anesthesia career, she looks to Sami for guidance as a woman in anesthesia.
Stephen Evankovich
Groomsman
Stephen is Maria's oldest brother. He was very protective of Maria growing up, always there to comfort her or make her a glass of warm chocolate milk if she couldn't sleep. When Stephen left for college, Maria was devastated that she was "losing" him, so the family made frequent trips to go visit Stephen in Cleveland. One of Maria's favorite memories is when Stephen would take her to get ice cream when he would come home.
Jessica Evankovich

For so many years, Maria had hoped that Phillip would finally date Jessica! They have shared many memories together including when Jess picked Maria up from middle school to go on a coffee date together, Maria hiding in a plant with Andrea to photograph Phillip & Jess's engagement, and many walks all over the country together! The two bond over their love of living a healthy lifestyle, always sharing recipes and podcasts.
Phillip Evankovich
Groomsman
Phillip is Maria's second brother. From the day Phillip found out he was going to have another sister, he was always a kind and lovable brother. He wanted to name her "Pickles Spot," although her parents thought Maria Regina was a better choice. Maria felt so special when her "cool, older brother" would come workout in the weight room with her high school track team. When Maria was stressed over her looming Step 1 Medical Board exam, Phillip was there to support her through it.
Elizabeth Evankovich

Maria and Elizabeth have been together since the day Elizabeth was born. They used to have our own special language that no one else could understand, and wear matching outfits that did not coordinate at all. They always wanted to be together, to the extent that their friends thought they lived at each others homes.
Erik McKee
Groomsman
Adam & (Dr.) Erik first met in the pre-med fraternity, "PhiDE", at the University of Miami. Later on during freshman year, they would join the same social fraternity as well, Phi Delt, becoming "Double Brothers". Naturally, they soon became best friends and roommates, enjoying many afternoons hanging out "at the rat" and many weekends cheering on the 'Canes at football games.
Emily Barton

Maria and Emily have been friends since freshman year of high school. Maria used to wait for Emily in the track & field locker room for 10 minutes so Emily could put her socks on in just the right way. In 2018, along with Alexxa, they had an amazing opportunity to travel to Iceland together for spring break.
Justin Skiba
Groomsman
Justin & Adam met on the first day of med school, when they lived in the same apartment building. "The Darragh" boys would quickly become friends, enjoying nights out at bars of Pittsburgh, nights in playing "FIFA", and even spontaneous trips to Florida during the MS1 year. As med school became "virtual" during the COVID-19, Adam & Justin remained close. Fun fact- when Adam & Maria started dating in 2019, Justin was the first person to know!
Alexxa Safko
Bridesmaid
Alexxa was Maria's first anatomy lab partner before Adam came along. They became close friends in their sophomore year of college during their Psychology Research Methods class when Maria sat behind Alexxa and they always took their bathroom breaks together. In 2018, along with Emily, they had an amazing opportunity to travel to Iceland together for spring break.
Mike Dobek

18 years ago, "Dobes" and Adam met on the rough and tumble playgrounds of Glacier Ridge Elementary School. After Adam moved to Crystal Lake, Dobes and Adam quickly became friends. The two later reunited in high school and have remained close ever since, sharing adventures in Chicago, Miami, and most recently- Nashville!
Alexis Espinal

Alexis was Maria's first friend in medical school. They have been by each others' side through the ups and downs of medical school, and they are always ready to dance on a bar top with each other. Alexis was by Maria & Adam's side through every step of their relationship, from their first trip to Phipps to vacations in Florida.
Sam Hader
Groomsman
Sam & Adam go back to 4th grade, when they played on the same neighborhood soccer team. The two reunited in middle school and have remained close ever since. In 2018, both returned to "The CL". Charlotte is Maria's older niece! She is kind, caring, intelligent, and wise beyond her years (of 7). Adam won Charlotte and Emilia over by always playing "monster" and sword fighting.
Emilia Evankovich

Emilia is Maria's younger niece! Adam met Emilia when she was only 1.5 years old, when she referred to him as "Ah-um" because she couldn't say the "d" yet. Emmy is lovable, fun, and you can always find her with a hand in the cookie jar.
Balian Evankovich

Balian is Maria's older nephew! Balian was the first baby Adam held outside of his pediatric rotation. Balian is sweet, intelligent, and always willing to cuddle.
Gabriel Evankovich

Gabriel is Maria and Adam's Godson and the youngest of the Evankovich clan! Lovingly referred to as "Baby Gabey," his funny personality is already beginning to show at just over a year old.
