Castle of Lykourgos Logothetis

The Castle of Lykourgos Logothetis was constructed in the 19th century as is where Egyptian Queen Cleopatra and her husband Marc Anthony, a famous Roman Emperor, took spent their honeymoon in April 32 B.C. Located right by the water, you can explore the ancient ruins and take photos, and look over the Port or Pythagoreio. It's also conveniently located next to the church where we are getting married.

The Eupalinos Tunnel is a 1036m long aqueduct built in the 6th century BC to supply fresh water from Agiades spring to the city of Pythagoreio. It is considered one of the most significant feats of ancient engineering, and was constructed from two separate points, which precisely met in the middle. Tours are available, where you are guided into the tunnel (Not recommended for guests who are claustrophobic).

Potami beach is one of our favourite places to swim near Karlovasi. Relax, swim, snorkel, or enjoy a drink and some food at one of the many beach bars along the shores. This is located on the other side of the island (approximately 40 minute drive).

This is where Maria-Niki's mother's side of the family is from. Kampos, or Votsalakia as they call it, is a town along stretches of sandy beaches and is known for its crystal-blue waters, tavernas, souvenir shops, cafes, beach cafes, and natural beauty.

The Samos Soap Factory has been hand making natural olive oil soap since 1923. They offer guided tours through the factor on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10 and 11 am.

Located approximately 3 kilometres from Kokkari, Tsamadou beach is a bay surrounded by greenery and crystal blue waters. There is a small path that leads from the main road to the beach, where you will also find restaurants and cafes.
